Review guidelines

Reviews are the heart of this site. These rules keep them honest and useful.

Who can review

Anyone who has been a patient of the clinic (or brought a child or relative) in the last three years. One review per clinic per person every 12 months. Clinic staff, owners, their families and competitors may not review.

Two ways to review

Full review: five ratings and your story. Quick rating: two ratings and an optional line. Quick ratings count half as much towards the VD Score.

What we check

You confirm your email before anything is published. Every review is then read by a person. Automated checks help us spot links, personal data, repeated text, abusive words, possible allegations, and reviews sent from a clinic's own network or email domain. A flag never removes a review on its own.

What's not allowed

  • Reviews that aren't about your own experience.
  • Naming individual staff in the text (use the "Treated by" field).
  • Serious allegations we can't verify, such as claims of crimes or misconduct. Report those to the health authorities instead.
  • Abuse, hate or harassment. Phone numbers, emails or links.
  • Reviews given in exchange for a discount, gift or payment.

We never edit or cherry-pick

We publish or reject a review as written. Negative reviews that follow the rules are published. Clinics can't pay to remove or hide reviews, and paying us never changes a score.

Clinic replies

A clinic's verified owner can post one public reply to each review. Replies must not reveal any patient information.

Reporting and appeals

Anyone can report a review with the "Report" link under it. If we reject or remove your review, we email you a statement of reasons explaining what we decided, why, and how to appeal. Appeals are looked at by a different person. See report a problem.

Withdrawing your review

Use the link in your confirmation email to withdraw your review at any time.
